The goal of surviv.io is to be the last player standing. You only live once per game - there is no respawn!
If you've played other battle royale games like PUBG, Fortnite or H1Z1, then you're already halfway there! Think of surviv.io as 2D PUBG (with slightly less desync and more chicken).
Loot and Kill
You'll begin the game with no items other than a simple backpack. Move around the map to find loot: weapons, ammo, scopes, and medical items. Eliminate other players and you can take their loot!
Red = Bad!
Players aren't the only thing that can hurt you. The deadly red zone will move in from the sides of the map and deal increasingly greater damage if you stand in it. Keep an eye on the map and stay safe.
Spring has sprung and so have the Island cherry trees! The flowering season brings with it a new building: the teahouse. This cozy piece of Japanese-inspired architecture features a golden chest that may contain a fun new surprise or two.

Black on ammo
It's back to the barracks for 50v50, but you won't have to wait long for our next update. A little surprise is springing to the Island in a matter of days!

50v50 is back! It's largely the same as before, but we've added an additional role: the lieutenant.
Each side gets two lieutenants that are assigned after the leaders. Lieutenants get a special perk: firepower. This perk grants them extended magazines for nearly every gun in the game. MAC-10 with 50 round mags? Yes please!

We hope everyone's thirst for overpowered loadouts has been quenched. Stay tuned, as we'll be back later this month with the return of 50v50!

Desert Rain returns again, and the Island's airspace has never been more crowded! In addition to massively increased flare gun spawns, throwable strobes can be found in the desert that call in an air strike on their location.
We've also made a few adjustments to the overall game. Healing and boosting will now give off particles to indicate to your teammates (and enemies!) that you're busy medicating. Bandages can now heal all the way to 100 health. Downed players can also interact now - open doors, press buttons, etc. For the rest of the changes, check out the changelog.

The fighters are grounded as we're back to normalcy on the Island. Like always, we've got more new content in the works! And later this month will see the return of a certain arid landscape ...
Feb. 5, 2019
50v50 has been extended through Sunday, Feb. 10.
For those of you who are tired of getting dunked on by air strikes, we've swapped out normal duos for squads until the completion of this 50 v 50 event.
